Aesop’s Fables brings forty-eight classic moral tales to the ESL/EFL classroom in clear, accessible English. Some stories are familiar, others new, but all contain timeless lessons about wisdom, cleverness, kindness, and human behavior. Written on detachable story cards, the fables progress in complexity from short and simple to longer and more challenging texts. Each story is ideal for retelling, dramatizing, comparing, or analyzing. Students practice fluency, comprehension, sequencing, and speaking as they engage with these short narratives. The detachable card format allows teachers to use the stories flexibly in pairs, groups, stations, or whole-class lessons. An optional audio program provides expressive readings that model pronunciation, pacing, and natural rhythm.
